Description

Nakaya Japanese pull saw

With a rich history dating back to 1907, Nakaya has been Japan's leading manufacturer of handsaws and machines for over 100 years. Over the years, Nakaya has perfected the process of pulling saws and took it to an unprecedented level. Nakaya is also located in Niigata prefecture, Sanjō. This Japanese village is known for its high quality and craftsmanship.

Japanese pull saws are popular for the narrow cuts and the ease with which you saw. The pulling motion, rather than pushing, combined with a thinner blade gives more control when cutting. This ensures effortless wafer-thin cuts, minimalist design without unnecessary weight.

Kataba Japanese pull saw

A Kataba is often a universal saw that can be used for abbreviation, miter and ripping and is therefore ideally suited as a carpenter's saw. Due to this universal deployment, you will lose a bit of speed compared to a specialist saw such as Ryoba or a Dozuki, but the saw is prepared for anything. This Kataba from Nakaya is made of top quality Japanese hardened steel, you can see it and feel it. Made for general applications, extremely suitable as an all-rounder, handy and light and clean cuts with less effort.

The Kataba pull saw has a total length of 650 mm and a saw blade of 270 mm long and 55 mm wide, with a blade thickness of 0,6 mm.
